Candida albicans

Candida albicans lives naturally in and on your body. Candida is a type of beneficial yeast fungus, that is typically found in small amounts on your mouth, skin and in your intestines.

Healthy bacteria in your body control the balance of Candida. When Candida albicans is off-balance, the yeast overgrows and causes an infection called candidiasis (too much yeast in the body). Symptoms vary from bloating to itching, along with fatigue and generally feeling unwell.
