Protein vs. Cancer

Where is the co-relation between protein and cancer?

In the last 10 years we are experiencing a large increase in people diagnosed with malignant carcinomas or cancer. At the same time high-protein diets and high-protein foods are on big demand.

Protein supplements, protein bars, even high protein cereals like quinoa are gaining immense popularity. I can remember cheese makers discarding the whey, which is now sold at a premium price.

My inquisitive mind was looking for a correlation between cancer and (too much) protein in our diet:-

“All normal cells have an absolute requirement for oxygen, but cancer cells can live without oxygen – a rule without exception. Deprive a cell 35% of its oxygen for 48 hours and it may become cancerous.”

Dr. Warburg has proven that the root cause of cancer is oxygen deficiency, which creates an acidic state in the human body. He also discovered that cancer cells are anaerobic, i.e. they do not breathe oxygen, and cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen, as found in an alkaline state.

Now where is the link between an acidic state of an organism, protein and cancer? Let’s look at a famous publication (over 2 million copies sold) by a swiss naturopath:

“As a nutritionist I discovered among primitive peoples the real cause of the ever increasing cases of ‘diseases of civilisation’ despite the astronomical amounts of money being spent on health and medical care.

It is excess protein in the diet. Most of us eat two or three times more protein than is needed, in the form of meat, eggs, cheese and fish. Of course, protein is necessary in our diet, but too much of it triggers protein-storage diseases.

Protein foods also produce excess acid, and the constant state of hyper-acidity in the body is one of the causes of cancer because protein is used in cell formation and also promotes cell proliferation, as in tumours, but also as in rheumatism, gout and arthritis.

I found that these diseases are virtually unknown among people who still live close to nature.”

Nowadays we can add many more ‘lifestyle diseases’ to the above list of ‘civilisation diseases’. These include Alzheimer’s, atherosclerosis, heart disease, stroke, asthma, liver disease, pulmonary disease, Type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, renal failure, osteoporosis, depression and obesity.

All you body builders, sports people, health freaks, dieters, weight-loss enthusiasts
please be careful about your protein intake and mind your body’s ph-level.

Gout e. g. would be a clear indicator of too much uric acid in your joints. For the obvious reason gout was also called “the rich men’s disease”.



Food supplements to help alkalise your body would include
